    Description

    Terrific civil war prisoner cover from the Union prison at Fort Delaware, DE to South Carolina.  Delaware City postmark and target, 3 cent 1861 #65.  Flag of Truce endorsement, Fort Delaware oval censor handstamp (used April-late October 1864), Confederate States #11 with Richmond VA postmark.  Scarce through the lines cover with both US and confederate stamps.  Typical soiling, with extensive writing on reverse.
