This is a 1991 Mazda Mx-5 Miata Special Edition that comes with the Matching Factory Hardtop and was very lightly used by only 2 very careful owners. We purchased the car directly from the second owner.
They had owned the car since 1996 and purchased it from the Original Owner.
The Miata had lived most of it's life in North Carolina until a job transfer brought the car to the Midwest. Both used the car as a
weekeder. The car was always garaged and covered and meticulously serviced and cared for, ( I have a service file that will go with the car.) this car was never driven in the snow or for that matter not even in climate weather.
This car has all the factory decals on all the parts and was never in a accident, appears to be all
Original Paint,
which is in amazing condition.
As widely know there are a Bucket list of certain Miata's that people feel are the highly collectible and rapidly increasing in value and are must haves. The First Generation Special Edition is on every list and at the top of most list.
Coutless sites and publications all agree the Japanese cars (specifically Miata's) are quickly becoming collectible are increasing in value quicker (percentage wise) than almost and other segment.
This car definitely qualifies as a must have the Ownership,Originality,Condition and Options which include the Factory matching Hard top make this a perfect fit for a collector or a fun weekend car that will will definitly go up in value
The Special Edition was Only Produced in the British Racing Green with Butterscotch Leather Interior, and in limited Production (around 4000) with each one numbered. Very limited Option chosses (Which this car has Hard top.) the other option was Automatic Transmission.
The cars were equipped with a 1.6 L. DOHC and a Limited Slip D
ifferential,Both A and B package options, Stainless Sill Plates,Nardi Shift Knob and Hand Brake Handle, along with alloy Wheels and several other
standerd options.
This car was meticulously cared for and serviced, it comes with the original books and manuals. Newer matching tires.
The interior is in fantastic Original Condition and everything works as it should with the exception of the Original Stereo. I do have a place that can repair it or many are changing it out for updated hands free capability, but that is a personal choose.
This Miata is ready to enjoy. Very very good condition with few very minor flaws the car is 30+ years old
