Branson 40kHz Hand Probe System (welding or staking) 40:0.5:04T

Description

This power supply for this system was built in 2004 and is in good working order. This is a low-power hand-held probe system intended for manual staking or spot welding.  The power supply can be set up to weld in continuous mode (hold the button on the probe until you don't want ultrasound anymore) time (hold button until ultrasound shuts off at programmed time) or energy (hold button until programmed energy (joules) has been delivered to the probe).  Programming is pretty intuitive.
We tested it on 120 VAC despite the label indicating 250V 8A (possibly dual-voltage?).  It uses a North American-style three-prong wall outlet plug on a detachable computer-style power cord (included).  Comes with the probe, booster, horn and tip as installed by the last user.  The front slug of the probe itself is chewed up with pipe wrench marks (don't ever do that) but it runs fine.  The aluminum 1.5  booster that is on there is in pretty tough shape but it runs fine.  The other aluminum 1.5 booster included is in better shape but we were not able to test it.  The mounted horn is in decent condition and is tapped for a standard Branson or Dukane 1/2" spotwelding or staking tip.  The tip that is mounted is a spotwelding tip that looks as though it might be intended for clamshell packages or something similar.  The other horn that appears in the photo is obviously a product-specific horn but you will be receiving it as part of the package (special deal!!!).
The system was gently cleaned and tested.  One of the original feet was knocked off and the power supply wobbled on the desktop.  We were unable to find a suitable replacement so installed two non-standard feet on the bottom rear to fix the wobble.  You will receive the third OEM foot we removed in the package (special deal!!!).
Included are power supply, power cord, probe with attached cord, probe cooling tube and fittings, two 1.5 aluminum boosters, 2 horns, 1 spotweld tip, 1 power supply foot, spiral cord bundle wrap.
Return it within 30 days of purchase in substantially same condition as we shipped it and receive a full refund.
