Offered for your consideration is a
CAMBRIDGE SOUNDWORKS
4 inch poly cone woofer
that was original equipment in my
MC300 LCR
speakers, manufactured c. 2002. This mid/bass driver may have been used in other CAMBRIDGE speakers from this era and is also a great choice for speaker-building applications.
So, please take a look at my large photos, the measurements, and read the remaining description to decide if this splendid mid/bass woofer is correct for your needs.

This CAMBRIDGE woofer is in clean, excellent overall condition. The sturdy poly cone is flawless and so is the voice coil dustcap. Plus, the surround is
permanent
rubber instead of the fragile foam that was still widely in use at the time it was made. Also, the black-enameled steel basket is in terrific shape with no scratches or dings and the anodized bell covering the heavy, shielded magnet structure is perfect as well. Also, the +/- terminals are keyed for polarity (red line side = pos.) and have never been soldered on the spades. All-in-all, this driver is practically indistinguishable from new!
Most importantly, it’s been fully tested and sounds terrific with excellent clarity and midrange detail. Plus, the low-end output is ample for the platform size. I also tested the DC resistance at 7.6-7.9Ω consistent with a nominal driver rating of 8 ohms (two of these woofers are wired in-parallel for a net 4 ohm load in the MC300). Lastly, the baskets measure 4⅛” square (5⅜” from corners), it stands about 3” tall, and the mounting holes are spaced 3¼” adjacent / 4⅝” diagonal apart, c-t-c.
This is a great find for someone that has a blown or damaged 4” driver in their MC300 LCR or other suitable model—your speaker(s) will be sounding their finest once again in no time! And, as I suggested earlier, it’d make a perfect choice for speaker projects.
