Lyman 25720, 1 Cavity 25 caliber rifle mold (mould)

Description

This is a Lyman 1 cavity 25720, 25 caliber, rifle bullet mold. It drops 86 grain flat nose bullets. It is an antique mold with integral handles.
It is from my personal collection which I am thinning out. Someone posted it looked rough so I cast a few bullets in it and have revised the listing. It casts well - I didn't get mold hot enough to get all of the wrinkles out of the bullet (see picture), but it fills and drops them correctly. The bullet is concentric to within less than 0.001" and drops at about 0.259" with #2 alloy. The blocks are in good condition with most of the blue remaining, the handles and pin are discolored but solid. The top edge of one of the cavities is rounded a little and leaves a small amount of flash on one side, you can see it in the bullet picture and it will size off with no problem. It has been stored in an air tight container with desiccant.
