Lyman .45 Caliber Bullet Mold - 457122 HP w/ unusual self-retracting Pin - 330 g

Description

We are auctioning a very unusual Lyman .45 Caliber Bullet Mold - number 457122 in 330 grain and it is a hollow-point model. The unusual part is it has a built in self re-tracting pin system that pulls the pin as you open the mold.  I remember reading about these years ago in some publication but do not remember who made them. It is possible it was made here in Spokane. It works very well and does cast a nice bullet. A very unique and oddly fascinating idea. It does come complete with early handles. I would consider this to be very rare.

In looking at the pictures this mold might seem a bit fragile but be assured it stands up to use with no problem. It is sturdier than the pictures appear to show and is quite well made.
