Lyman 457661 Heavy BPCR Single Cavity Bullet Mold

Description

This is a rare mold designed by Bob Roller and sold through Dixie Gun Works for BPCR use.  It is designed so that it can be seated well out of a 45-70 case out into the rifling allowing more powder to be loaded than usual.  The top two grooves are bore sized to allow seating well into the throat of the chamber while still carrying lubricant.  The nose is somewhat under bore size to provide clearance for the inevitable fouling from black powder.  The plain base is groove size.  The weight is about 510 grains depending on the alloy used, and the last picture shows the typical casting.  The bullet is NOT part of this auction per Ebay rules, but only to demonstrate the quality of the product.
