Muton-Jade Hardwood RuYi Scepter 18th/19th Century
The Jade Panels are carved with various scenes: The largest Panel  is carved
with two Bats and two Finger Citrons. Stems, blossoms and leaves help
fill in the scene. The center Panel is a Vase representing  Abundance and
Prosperity, a winged figure at the bottom with nice scrolls on the face .
Coming out of the Vase are numerous stems supporting multiple leaves
and a seed pod. The bottom Panel has two lovely Pomegranates that
are festooned with twisting stems that wind around with leaves that nicely
fill in the background.
These Panels are set into a Curved Hardwood/Rosewood shaft. The Shaft is
in excellent shape for its age. The back of the shaft is nicely carved along
its entire perimeter.
Size:    18" Long  as wide as 3" plus the top Panel at: 5 5/8" wide and
5" High
Weight: 2 lbs.
Both the top and both panels have small hairline cracks. See Photos.
These are consistent with age.
A Beautiful piece in Very good condition.
Neither hairline is complete nor do they compromise the Jade.
