    JOHNSON'S ISLAND is located on Lake Erie offshore from the City of Sandusky, Ohio.
    Examined manuscript ink marking "Ex WR" which identifies the Examiner as Private Frank W. Rittman. Mr. Rittman was in service January 4, 1863 thru November 2, 1864..
    CONDITION: Very good. VG Strike. Opened slightly and roughly at the flap. Flap has re-sealed itself. Tear in flap. Two tiny tears at the top. Bold legible writing. Minimal soiling. Attractive in appearance.
