This auction is for one new Trolley Dodger Records audio CD with a total playing time of 48:48.  These are vintage steam train recordings, originally released on LP in the early 1960s.  They have been digitally remastered using the best equipment and techniques.  This CD comes with the original liner notes for this LP.
Steam in the Snow (Canadian Pacific Railway)
The setting for the sound recorded in this album is Montreal, Quebec, in February of 1960 on the Canadian Pacific Railway, which had long before dieselized the western regions of the railroad. The Canadian Pacific was using up the remaining utility in the steam locomotives it still owned, hence one found passenger locomotives pulling freight, and main line engines working lesser, but sometimes rather interesting runs.
Thus, Montreal was the “last outpost” for operating steam power on the “CP.” This recording was made for those who would like to recall fondly, the memory of steam power on the Canadian Pacific.
