    Description

Unique Aluminum Webbed Contour Motion Lounger - Relaxed Position
1950's aluminum frame, nylon webbed lounge chair in a very unique design - good luck finding a mate for it! Contour lounge chair has range of motion from a center, bottom pivot bar and travel is limited by the front and rear frames. No markings or stickers of any type - I have two other chairs from this grouping and those have no maker marks either. Aluminum tube construction with wood inserts at pressure points. Gold on gold webbing across the whole lounger with grommets in the middle section to tie on a seat pad - see picture #7. Relaxed position reminds me slightly of the chairs they use in Vegas for whisking inebriated guests off the floor and out a secret door back to their room or a police car. The lounger is approx 65" long by 24" wide and 18" high. The center low point never changes much in terms of height at approx 12", whereas the foot section rises from approx 12-15" to approx 26" when the chair is tilted back. Lightweight and easy to move but non folding. This is a wonderful chair that I've had for a few years and decided either sell or redo the webbing and sell was the decision due to time constraints. Very comfortable chair but may not be for everybody due the entry, exit and positioning, so maybe more of an "owner's chair".
Overall condition noted as "good used condition"  is reasonable based on the age of the chair and full function. Nylon webbing is intact with the exception of slight tear in foot area (picture #10). Nylon webbing is aged and faded with some small areas of discoloration. In total it is quite uniform and presentable, but I'd expect buyer to recover it in their choice of materials and colors. Hardware has some surface rust but all fasteners should be readily removable for recovering and cleaned or replaced. What you see is what you get and there's not many examples in this condition floating around these days!  Please see all pictures for full condition details.
If any additional pictures are needed, please message me and I'll do my best to accommodate.
Local pickup or meeting within 50 miles of zip 44056 would be preferred. I've verified ground rates and shipping is obviously not cheap - the large single chair piece is oversized and the remaining components also need a decent size box. Secure and carefully packed ground shipping will require partial disassembly of chair and shipment in two or more large packages. Shipping arranged by buyer is no problem with a handling charge. Please contact me before purchasing to discuss arrangements if you want to go this route.
If you're not far west or south and want me to check shipping cost, please contact me and I should be able to tighten the price down a bit.
Thank you for visiting and don't wait too long on this great Mid Century aluminum lounger!
