    Description

This listing is for an original (not a reproduction), very rare Title Card/Lobby Card for the 1928 Pathe silent film film "Annapolis."  The Title Card measures 11x14" and is in excellent condition for its age with bright colors and no tape remnants of any kind.  There is some light handling wear around the edges confined to the blank borders of the card (incl. some trivial corner bumping and a small tear) as well as light foxing from age.  A great collectible for anyone interested in U.S. Naval Academy or Annapolis, Maryland history or a graduate of the Naval Academy.
Annapolis was a silent melodrama directed by Christy Cabanne (an "American epic of loyalty, courage and clean love!") that starred Johnny Mack Brown, Jeannette Loff, Hugh Allan, William Bakewell and Maurice Ryan.  I believe prints of the film are still available and that scenes were filmed on location in Annapolis, Maryland.
Please see the photos for more details; I have included some detailed close ups.  This 90-year old title card would look terrific framed.
