    Description

I'm not that familiar with Asian/Oriental antiques, so I don't know a lot about this bronze or brass flask, other than it looks much like other mid-19th century Chinese flasks I've seen online with just slight variations in the markings and/or designs (zoom or enlarge any of the photos for a closer look). The round flask weighs 1 lb., and measures 4 1/2" in diameter x approximately 1 3/4" thick x 5 3/4" long to the top of the screw cap. Including the handle (which is sometimes missing), it measures 6 1/2" long. The handle is attached to a collar which rotates around the flask. I filled the flask with water and saw no leaks, either from the spout joint or from under the cap. I don't know what any of the markings say or mean, but the design does include two flying birds (cranes?) The flask can use a light cleaning. USPS medium box flat rate priority shipping will be .50 in the U.S.
